Implants - Other Aspects

How is the bite checked with an implant-supported bridge?

Using articulating paper, T-Scan and digital occlusal analysis.

Articulating paper marks premature contact points when biting. T-Scan measures the distribution of forces in real time using sensors. Digital occlusal analysis software simulates chewing movements in 3D. Adjustments are made to the occlusal surfaces with diamond burs. Ideal force distribution: 30-40 N per implant for posterior bridges. Night guards prevent overloading from grinding during sleep. Dynamic occlusal checks are carried out during lateral movements. The patient is given instructions on chewing symmetrically. An annual re-check prevents wear caused by changes in occlusion. A precise balance considerably extends the lifespan.
