Digital scans analyse angular deviations (>15° is problematic). Angled abutments compensate for up to 30° of deviation in any direction. Bone augmentation creates a new platform for correct implant placement. In cases of extreme misalignment: removal of the implant and new placement after 3 months. Temporary crowns mask aesthetic shortcomings during the correction. Orthodontic extrusion of the opposing teeth restores the occlusion. Costs range from €500 (abutment) to €5,000+ (complete revision). Prevention using advanced 3D surgical guides is the best approach. Patients need to be realistic about what can be corrected in complex cases.
