During the first consultation, the focus is on examination and getting to know each other. The clinician first wants to obtain a complete picture of your oral health. This is why measurements, images and an intake interview take place. A diagnosis is made on this basis. Treatment usually starts at a subsequent appointment. This allows the practice to prepare properly for the right approach. You will receive an explanation of the proposed treatment beforehand. In emergencies, immediate action can sometimes be taken. An exception can be made for simple treatments. In all cases, you will be well informed in advance about what happens next.
