Hybrid prostheses combine aesthetic porcelain with the strength of metal. The metal framework is screwed onto 4 to 6 implants. The acrylic gum section aesthetically masks any bone loss. They are less fragile than all-porcelain bridges. They are lighter than zirconia solutions (80 to 120 g on average). The acrylic section needs periodic replacement (every 7 to 10 years). Costs fall between all-porcelain and removable systems. Cleaning is easier than with fully fixed bridges. A popular choice for completely edentulous upper jaws. Provides excellent lip support and a natural appearance. The dental laboratory plays a crucial role in the aesthetic result.
