How do I clean a fixed full-arch prosthesis?

Daily interdental cleaning and professional check-ups.

Use a water flosser on a low pressure setting to remove food debris. Superfloss or interdental brushes clean between the prosthesis and the gums. Use an electric toothbrush with a soft head on the surfaces of the prosthesis. Avoid abrasive toothpastes that can damage porcelain. Professional cleaning every 3 to 6 months removes hardened deposits. Check daily for loose screws or cracks in the prosthesis. If you grind your teeth, consider wearing a protective night guard. Alcohol-free mouthwashes prevent the tissues from drying out. Special maintenance tools (e.g. screwdrivers) are supplied. Cleaning time (10 to 15 minutes a day) is crucial for the lifespan of the prosthesis.
